i think five setters during grand slams is good but in the minor tournaments five setters would become irritating except maybe in the finals.i agree with u that if 2 biggies are playing, like federer and nadal or roddick and safin(their match is today) i would definitely like a five setter.

Five setter. Many times we see a player go down 2 sets to none and come back to win it in five sets. it makes for good tennis.

Tennis is supposed to be an endurance sport. When the men play 2 sets, the game loses the respect of other athletes....might as well just go bowling....

As a paying customer in the stands you want to get your monies worth so I say 3.
Some of the women's 2 set matches are done in under 50 minutes. Not worth the trip.

I prefer 3 sets when the match is really interesting, but sometimes it is simply boring. So I think it mainly depends of the players and their ability.

five sets, it gives players a chance to bounce back.
it's longer, but that just means there's more tennis to enjoy! haha
and tennis matches arent always being aired, so it's nice to watch for a while when it is on.

I prefer two out of three - I can't stand those five-setters that last like five hours....

for grand slam matches i wont mind a five setter. but in regular tournament no way. it would be too long and boring especially during early rounds.
