try re installing the software for the device...........go into system device manager from you control panel / device manger and uninstall it then reload the software or let windows recognize it and maybe use that software. Go to the Sony Website and download the updated drivers from there.........firmware and software should be in a bundle for your OEM system.

the pcs are operating usb a million.a million both the pcs do only not help the USB 2 universal or you haven't got the USB 2 drivers good put in. you're prepared to get a bios replace for quite some the machines relying on the mainboard. in case you do not understand what you're doing, then only forget concerning the message, twiddling along with your bios can go away the computer unusable. besides the undeniable fact that for the pc's you should purchase an upload in card for usb 2 connectors.

Assuming I/O means what I believe it to which is in out try setting the dvd/cd player as a slave drive on your computer and make sure the bios is reading it correctly- good luck

the problem my be that you need to remove it and then place it back in.
