I am a civilian who has been to Iraq and I can tell you this war is with Iran not Iraq. Iran is also attempting to incite countries south of our border to attack us right here at home and they have a lot of allies to our south in countries that are becoming fascist/communist. There are things you do not know and some of you will only believe WHEN a democrat is president and continues our effort in Iraq, which IS going to happen.

Fort the person who referenced the Lancet:
"The Lancet admits the research is based on a small sample - under 1,000 homes - but says the findings are 'convincing'. "
And to quote the Lancet's report:
""Former regime elements and insurgents have made it a practice of using civilians as human shields, operating and conducting attacks against coalition forces from within areas inhabited by civilians."

You've been listening to the wingnuts too much. One Republican jackass said DC is more dangerous than Iraq.
The numbers are all based on false premises and have no basis in reality.

They don't have higher murder rates. The Lancet a peer-reviewed highly respected medical journal published data showing over 600,000 people have died in Iraq over last 4 years. That is way higher than N.O and D.C.
p.s. I've been to and enjoyed vacations in both N.O. and D.C. but you won't find me taking a vacation in Iraq - if you truly believe what you are saying, then you would I guess.

not the concern.
It is whether or not crime prevention has done to the best.
ie. Making police physical present on the street, member of public willing to assist in detering & detecting crime. Restriction of arms & explosive, as well as knife & daggers, etc.
Media also played a very important part. Many believed seeing is true and influenced their choice of decision.
Of course, politics & laws too. No death sentences for murder? Allow full human rights and government bodies are unable to perform certain restriction for the betterment of the citizen?
Well, that's include the "Broken Window Theory".

New Orleans has had a murder a day for the last couple weeks, 150 people have died in the last two days in Baghdad. Get your facts straight.
It is better to remain quiet and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.-paraphrased Mark Twain

Actually, we should pull out of Iraq, and post the military in New Orleans, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Chicago,...
By the way, Illinois has gun control laws. One MUST have a Fire Owners Identification Card (FOID Card) if they own a firearm. Yet, gangbangers roam the streets of Chicago and East St Louis, and have no FOID card. Hmmm, wonder why the law abiding citizens must sufffer, and the slimy criminals get away with it?

The USA has never pulled out of any other city because of high murder rates (Gary, In; Houston, Tx; Atlanta, GA, etc). Maybe if we weren't in an illegal war in Iraq, our soldiers would be able to assist in rebuilding homes in New Orleans, providing fewer abandoned places for the criminals to squat in. OR if the US had not undercut the budgets for the Army Corps of Engineers causing shoddy workmanship on the levees in the first place they wouldn't have broken. Hmmmmm . . .

No, but we could move all the Sunnis from Iraq to New Orleans and then the Mayor would have a "Chocolate Spice" city.

hahahahaha I was looking for funny questions and I found one, thanks!
I dont know about that, but they should send the lady I saw yesterday with a bumper sticker that said "HE IS NOT MY PRESIDENT" and one that said "FORGIVE OUR TROOPS" to Iraq! Maybe she would like how they do things better since she can't respect the US.
