ok i got this pregnant female platy he geting biber every day .when i get her last saturday 1/13 i dint know she was pregnant.so now all i see is eat and swim up and dnow at the tank bite the other try to get close and look for a place to rest.it a wagtail i can clearly see the dot it kinna brown.or it black i dont know.and she's hipper active too.so tell me how to tell when the female platy is readdy to have fry in about aday or shorter?

There's no way to tell exactly, you just have to judge by her size and behaviour. When she is ready to have the fry, general she'll be very agitated, swimming up and down the side of the tank. She may not eat, and her stomach will be very large - and look almost squarish.
She is most likely pregnant, having come from the petstore, and hse may be ready to have the fry soon. But it's not an exact science - all you can do is watch and wait, and eventually you'll be able to tell when she's ready to have them.

after I had platies my lady ATE the fry. Danios are very speedy . even as holding guppies and danios .i spotted that the danios might want to dart at lightning % to devour guppy fry...and this became in a fifty 5 gallon tank. The undesirable little men did not even understand what hit them. i'd truthfully bypass them.

usually she will stay closer to the bottom of the tank or find a quiet spot in the plants...
