Typically, 4 years of undergrad and 4 years of dental.

You can look into 6 year programs out of high school, where you just do 2 years undergrad and then the 4 in dental school.

If you really want to push it, some schools like the University of the Pacific make their dental (and pharmacy) schools year round, so you finish in 3 years instead of the usual 4.

You should be looking at about 8 years total. Four years for you undergraduate degree and another four years for dental school. You also have to take the Dental admissions test.
