okay so im 13 and im getting snake bites(lip piercing on both sides) does it hurt and how bad 1-10

Not so bad, 6, hurts worse in a couple of weeks if anything get in it.

It will hurt, probably about a 7. Good news, though, your mouth is one of the fastest healing parts of your body.

I would have to agree that 13 is a little young to do something so drastic. I remember wanting to make a statement at that age, and it can really mess things up for you later. I would suggest doing something like a "modification" which is a body piercing anywhere that there is skin (some people do lower back, etc.) It's still quite shocking, it's unique, it adds a little surprise and mystery, and it's a lot easier to remove later (because some day, you will want to remove it. Trust me - you aren't gonna want to be 80 with snake bites).

Ok, let me tell you this first... I'm not trying to act like your parents here, in fact I'm just 20 yrs old so I'm more like you than like your parents, BUT, I really, really think you should wait for that, you're way too young, I was in your place not much time ago, and I know how you feel at that age, you think you know everything and you're desperate to grow up and are sick of people looking down at you, but trust me, you are NOT mature enough to get a piercing (neither a tattoo).

I got my eyebrow pierced at 19 and I think it was the perfect age. Maybe one or even two years before would have been good too. But younger than 16, I don't think so, you don't even know what you want at that age. I remember a loooot of people from high school that were something like punks, darks, surfers, whatever... and now like, more than half of them are something else and now dress and act "normal"... so that's a big proof you don't even know what you like or who you want to be at that age, so... getting a piercing, a tattoo or anything permanent at that age is really stupid, especially if it's on your face.

I say you wait a couple of years, plus... you probably don't know it now, but young teens who try to look older, let's say, by drinking, smoking, getting piercings, etc. when they shouldn't be doing it, look suuuuper dumb. You don't notice when you're that age, but trust me on that, if you're trying to impress someone, you're looking 10 times more ridiculuous by trying to look older than you really are.

everybody has a different tolerance for pain, i don't have snakebites but i have my lip pierced and it was my most painful one, i have 10...on a scale of 1 to 10 it was about a 8

#1-does your mom and/or dad know about what you're planning to do?
#2- do you realize that right now it might seem the like the coolest thing, but once you get out into the job market, all you're going to hear is "huh, are you serious about applying here?" some places might hire someone with piercings but most places won't.
think about it and i mean really think about it!

You do know that in five years when you realize how stupid that looks you'll have two permanent marks on your face. I'd say the pain from that realization would be a 10.
