Being free is not sitting around on your lazy ,daft *** & doing whatever you please!
Being free is being a responsible, moral, human being & obeying God & our country's laws.
Being free is being able to walk down the street with your head held high & a smile on your face, because you have a clear conscience.
Being free is knowing you have a place in Heaven because you take pleasure in obeying God's law & loving your fellow human being as a brother or sister.
You have no fear of dying, because you know it is only a trip to the next stop. You can walk down the street & not worry about someone shooting you or knifing you for the $2.00 in your wallet.
It is a pity that we have gotten so bad here that "free" means gifts & hand outs!

Land of the free & home of the brave. You are free when you get to America, then you gotta pay like the rest of us! You don't have to stay here & no one makes you come here...that's the free in freedom. Then once you are here, you are free to find a way to support yourself & follow the laws of our land by obeying the rules of our forefathers who founded this land! You are simply just free to choose how you live your life. If you can't afford to buy it new, then you can always buy it used, or wait until someone throws in out & it finds you! You can live free if you are willing to settle for second best until you can afford to get the best that you feel will suit your needs. Not many Americans get things handed to them. We worked at one time or another in our lives!

You must be very young or this might be a joke rather than a question.
The U.S. constitution guarantees our individual rights by protecting our right to pursue happiness. This is the philosophical premise behind our "freedom".
This does not mean everything is "free" in the economic sense.
You have the right to earn your keep. You do not have the right to keep what you didn't earn. That is an abrogation of the concept of "rights".

It's a free country. In God we trust. All others pay cash.
Sooner or later, you're going to have to move out of your parent's house and make a living for yourself. What will you do? What WILL you do?
