Lead by example. Always take the high road. Politely defend her. Absolutely remain her friend thru thick and thin. I used to be like your friend and to this day remain grateful to my best friend for helping me thru a tough time.

She needs to not show that this bothers her. If she does not act bothered then it will not be fun for the people doing this and the will slowly stop. This is the best method. She can always go off on one person that does that and thinks they are special and hollar, scream and beat the he!! out of this person. If she does a good enough job others will leave her alone. If not they will just pick more.

You left off WHY she gets made fun of. Does she defend herself? Does she like the attention (some do)? This one girl I went to school with got picked on. I didn't do it, but she may have liked the attention, who knows. She would freak out if someone put a fake bug on her seat at lunchtime, she would just act plain weird, which caused the bullies and jerks to pick on her. One of the times I got picked on (it was going on for months, it was this @! football player and his skinny jerk friend). I had had a bad day and was not in the mood. I was in art class and was going back to my seat, and he stood in my way and said something (I can't remember what). All I remember is bring my hand back, then changed my mind and made it into a fist. I was so mad and I punched him right in the face. I think I yelled "Leave me the %@#%^ alone!" and went back to my seat. That cured him. Maybe she just needs to slap/punch the worst of her antagonizers. Sometimes it works. I didn't get in trouble either, ha ha!

Maybe you can help her change some of the things that are causing the teasing by others. Help with hair, clothes, makeup, you know that outward appearance. Then help her with etiquette and her mannerisms. You are a wonderful friend for her to have. Just keep being supportive and there for her. When you show the others you like her as a friend, maybe they will back off. Hugs.

I suggest that her reaction to the harrassment contributes to the continuation of it. Some of it is like a rumor - cannot stop it.
She will need to do 2 things.
- Learn to ignore it
- Report particular offenders to the school office
- If possible, record what the other students say to prove your case

well, if you want to help... then stand up for her. some people are jerks, and there is no way to make them change. making it known that you are on her side is a good start, but keep in mind that standing up for her will help her at a cost of your social sacrifice.

Then u shld see what's wrong with her, why is everyone picking on her? Fight back and people might stop. Some tards tend to pick on their weaker counter part.

Stand up for her! Really, if they are going too be cruel, stand up for her. i am of the opinion that we should all stand up for what we believe is true. If that friend is really nice then take the time to tell the other's to shut up. oh yeah! and pirates of the caribbean rox!
