This is a prime example of why answering questions is easier than asking questions...

I often say answers are easy, its getting the right question thats the difficult bit...

how that comes into play here you may ask?

theres several ways of reading this...

Option1? the easiest one would be humour... because Are we there yet? was made popular from the simpsons (and possibly other things too) its possible the asker just wants a laugh... so any humerous answer that doesn't have to be correct is fine...
Answer: Of course we're not there you dolt... the boat's still sinking!...

Option2? a rhetorical question... are we there yet might be just someones rhetorical question which doesn't really ask for an answer, is just intended to get the reader to think about the question... which makes all this: my long-winded answer useless... but thats ok... its fun to have a go at...
Answer: ...

Option3? A referential issue in the question... the word "There" implies a context which is missing out of the question itself, making it impossible to answer if your THERE if you don't know where THERE is referring to..
Answer: I need more information to answer this question

Option4? Someone who doesn't even want to think about questions may completely ignore what was asked and simply make up something to say.
Answer: Does my butt look big in this?

.... I guess thats about all... so... I think we're there!
