I wear a 36D but the cups are to small and i have the band on the tightest hook... i go up to a 38D and the cups fit, but the band is to loose on the tightest hook and it slides and takes away from the support that i need! Someone said to try a 36DD so I did and when i finally found a 36DD the cups and band were to big... then I thought about it and maybe a 34DD would fit.. but i've looked and Looked and obviously, there is no such thing! For now the 36D is working.. but if i run or jump when im walking i have to constantly adjust my bra and its kinda not something you wanna do in public.

Well, I would suggest that you get yourself sized at a lingerie shop. If you can't do that, check the link below for Ladies Home Journal Bra Sizer (first link).

Another thing you have to note is that different bra manufacturers size their bras differently and also, sometimes different styles of the same manufacturer are sized differently. So a person who wears a 42D in one manufacturer (or style), may well end up wearing a 38C in another's products. That's just an example!

So, the only way to really get the perfect fitting bra is through trial and error - numerous fittings - of different brands, styles, types, even sizes. If you have a helpful sales person, who is also knowledgable, then she can save you a lot of hassle. Still, all that trying-on is a pain - as I know only too well!

Don't limit yourself only to the size that you "think" you are or should be. Experiment. Also know the hallmarks of a well fitting bra. The second link below is to Lane Bryant's sizing page. You'll have to go down a bit on the page to see the Bra "fit facts" and the "common bra fit problems" as well.

Another way to get a well fitting bra is to have it professionally made by a custom bra-maker. I couldn't say how costly it would be, but for the comfort that you would get, it would be a worthwhile investment. I've included the link to the Professional Bra Makers site - maybe you could email (from the address on the page) and ask if there are any bra-makers in your area, what the approximate cost would be etc. (third link below)

Something for you to keep in mind. If you have really large breasts (and it sure sounds like you do!) try to avoid buying bras with cups made from stretchy fabric - they don't offer enough support- that is they SAG!! (at least for me). But like I said, experiment in the shop. Try on tons of bras.....

Good Luck!

PS: For your information: the number in front the letter (36) is for the band size and the letter (D) is for the cup size!!

have you ever been equipped for a bra? in case you bypass to Victoria's secret or Macy's,in actuality every person that sells bras they are going to in good shape you. I forget the proportion.. besides the undeniable fact that it fairly is intense.. for the quantity of girls that positioned on the incorrect length bra. you may think of you're a undeniable length yet you should be incorrect. i'm specific once you get equipped you will not have a topic looking a bra it fairly is appropriate. If women who're a length F can get a bra then you certainly can. solid luck.

If you are really a D (or DD) Victoria's secret doesn't carry your size. Frederick's does, cause they have a huge size selection. I'm firmly attached to Figleaves.com. You have a good estimation of what size you are (and yes.. 34DD does exist.. figleaves has 475 results in that size). Its weird to buy something without trying it on, but you can ship it back to them for free if it doesn't fit. I've yet to be disappointed.

Believe me. I understand your problem. You should go have yourself professionally fitted and they can let you know what the best size is for you. The best places I have gotten a good fit at are JC Penney and Lane Bryant.

They have the best bras at the best prices. Lots to choose from(colors, designs, comfort) and a variety of sizes.

I think Fredericks of Hollywood and Victoria's Secret do bra fittings too.

Oprah Winfrey put on a show about bras...and amazingly, about 85% of women donät wear the right type of bra for their body and are clueless how to size themselves correctly.

here is a link to just one of the articles on her site...

http://www.oprah.com/omagazine/200507/omag_200507_bra.jhtml

the information there will help you.

the BEST thing you can do is get to a high end store, like Victoria's Secret and have someone professionally size you. Support for the "girls" is extremely important, for may reasons...so it is better to buy one or two more expensive but well fit bras that you hand wash & take care of, then 10 cheap ones that wear out or misadjust on you.

Go to a store that specializes in bra's, panties, etc. and have them fit you. It's free (never heard of it costing anything anyway) and really worth toughing the odd feeling of having a stranger that close to you.

What is your bust measurement? If it is 40 or 41 inches, you may want to try a 34E or 34F.

Try Figleaves. HTH : )
