x = 32400

Ex..
32400 multiplied by 2 = 64800,
then when it is divided by 12 it equals 5400

or you can get all technical and say "one must isolate the X by dividing 2/12 to the other side. and then recipocal 2/12, so it is 12/2 which then you can multiply 5400 with, which would equal 32400.."

x* 2/12=54000
Reduce the 2/12 to 1/6.
x*1/6=5400
Multiply on both sides by 6
x=32,400.
In general, to answer these questions, isolate the x by subtracting whatever is being added to x, and dividing by whatever is multiplying x (or by multiplying by the inverse of a fraction).

x(2/12)=5400

2/12=5400/x

2x=64800

x=64800/2

x=32400
