Don't sue me when you're dead, but I would say that if it's just a stain, and not the actual silver nitrate, then yes. But wash, wash, wash first. It doesn't take much to kill you.

Yes, but wash your hands first. The black stains are caused by a reaction between the silver nitrate and the protein in your skin. They last a long time. They're not soluble, so very little contaminates the food, and silver isn't very poisonous anyway.

You should wash your hands first. Ingesting as little as 2 grams of Silver Nitrate can be fatal.

nope silver nitrate is poison!!!!

Fused silver nitrate is also called lunar caustic. Taken internally silver nitrate is a poison. It is prepared by reaction of nitric acid with silver, and purified by recrystallization.

No. Unless you washed it alot, and the nitrate is gone, and only the stain remains ... use rubber gloves anyhow!

Danger ... OK?
