If she still refuses to let you see him even after the restraining order is over she can have it put back on until you turn 18. But remember look at what shes telling you, there has to be a reason why she did this.

Your mom may be able to have it extended at the end of 30 days. This will hold true if he violates it before that time is up or the behavior that led to the RO continues after the time is up. You are still a minor and you are her legal responsibility.

if your mom wants something more permanent she will have to go back to court to get it. Temp is just for yor safety until you can get to court to see if the judge will grant a more permanent one. And what are you doing with a man that is 21? Listen im only 25 and i have been there before. Stay young as long as you can. Live life as a teen you can never get that back.

If your not 18 by then, than hopefuly you will realize that if you don't wait until you are legal, your just making his criminal record even worse. It would be in the best interest of both of you. And when your legal try to look at the bigger picture for now on and not about just right now.You just hurt your self more and in this case him too, and your mother!

If your Mom put a restraining order on anyone to protect you, Please lean into her judgement. Your Mom is your best friend, she gave you life, if she wasn't worried she wouldn't do anything. To many young girls and boys don't listen to their parent and wind up dead in a ditch or woods some where. Please do not power stuggle with your mom........growing into indepedentce dosen't mean you get freedom........even as adults we have bosses.......at work.....government......society..... our spouses......independence just means we have the right to think we have freedom. We all have to be accountable to the people that love us and we love.....that is what a functional family stives for. Staying in the family unit.

A guy protecting you? What does that mean, can you elaborate? Since you are a minor, your mother will have to go to court to get an extension of the PFA or get a permanent one.

She'll need to go back to court and show cause for it to be renewed. Whether you wanted it or not, the court obviously thought there was reason for him not to come near you. Take this as a sign and go out and have fun with kids your own age.

If he doesn't show up in court then they could extend it for up to 1 year. Even if he does show up, if he doesn't successfuly explain his actions, they could still extend it, not 4 a year tho..

Depends on what he did to cause your mom to do that and what she does.
Dont see him anymore, you could cause him to get in alot of trouble.
