I'm going there in March and trying to figure out how much money to take for spending according to their Currency

Beer cost 100-200J$ in bars, it's 1,5-3 USD average.
Coke cost about 50-100J$. In the shops it's cheaper offcourse.

Don't use word "coke" in Jamaica, some people can get you wrong. Better say "pepsi" :-) Also try local grapefruite soda named "Ting", delicious.

Depends where you buy it, ie.....tourist price or local price......
Current exchange rate......JA 65 to 1US........local red stripe beer would be about JA90........tourist price about JA240.....
