Sure some of it is legit. Maybe they have looked and looked and have found nothing and figure someone on here might have knowladge on said subject and might have referances for them. Its the kids that get on and have say a simple math problem or are asking people to basicly do thier homework for them that annoys me.
Is it just me or does this irk anyone else?
Don't get me wrong I have no problems helping when it is a legit question and i have nothing against kids using the full extent of their resources but if its simple why bother?

Because they didn't pay attention in class and they have no work ethic and they are used to getting instant gratification through the internet. We never had the access to information that they have, we actually had to call our friends for the answers! Or even *gasp* look it up and actually learn what was being taught...

If someone is going to give them the answer then let them..Who knows..If its not you answering the question then the next person might..Its a concern if the kids come on here to ask all their homework questions but just a small percent of questions is fine.Just remember that you can give them the wrong answer but its up to the kid to determine that.If the kid that the answer is right then he or she deserves the answer..

It does bug me to see kids get on there and ask questions sometimes. It does seem that they are looking for an easy answer, rather than help with figuring out the answer.

It's the new social genre. Open your mind, maybe they are cheats looking for easy answers. Oh man, there's lots of those out there. We're all pioneers out here in the ether looking for our own direction and claiming our own space. Just throw the dog a bone.

It is irritating, seems to me they are wanting someone to do their homework for them. I do agree though that some of the questions are because they have looked and cannot find the solution.

Yeah is irritating... some times I feel like I have no other choice and I lend them a hand... I'm sure that is not helping to much though.

Hey don't look at me, i only turn to Y.A if i have no clue. hmm that reminds me, how long to Glial cells live? oh ya... dont blame us, i bet you have no clue for some of the answers they ask. Maybe we did look it up. So get your head out of your butt and help them if you think you are so smart.

BECAUSE THEY ARE LOOKING FOR THE EASY WAY AND BY ASKING THEY DO NOT HAVE TO PUT FORTH ANY EFFORT ON THEIR OWN WHICH IS VERY SAD FOR ONE DAY NO ONE WILL BE THERE WITH THE ANSWER AND THEY WILL NOT GET FAR IN LIFE FOR CHEATING IS STEALING AND BOTH ARE SINS AND STEALING LEADS TO LYING WHICH IS ALSO A SIN

Because they know people are stupid enough to give them answers. God forbid if kids actually use their mind!
