Studies show that yes they are. They get all the immunities from their mothers breast milk, and make them to be a bit stronger and healthier than bottle fed. There have been many improvements to formula though. Either way is a good route

Breast feeding is better when possible, but don't let anyone tell you that formula is bad. I was unable to breast feed my daughter so she's only had formula and she is a very happy, very healthy baby. She's is the 90th percentile in terms of weight, and the 75th percentile in terms of height. Not to mention that she has only had 2 minor colds in her life and absolutely no other health problems at 14 months old.
While I agree that breast feeding is best, too many people look at us like bad parents for using formula when they just don't understand the circumstances. The federal regulations on baby formula are very strict, and it a very safe and healthy alternative for a parent who can't breast feed.

Breast milk provides the baby with antibodies that help it fight off diseases they're not vaccinated against until they're older.
Also, there is NOTHING on the market as nutritious and easy to digest as the food nature intends them to eat, your milk.
When you're in hospital, ask for help to be sure you're baby is latching properly and you'll have no nipple trouble. Oh, if you do start to get tender, use lanolin or other similar creams intended for your nipples. If you use it at the first sign of irritation, it'll never get to the point where you're suffering.
Also, remember you'll drop that baby weight like you wouldn't believe if you breast feed. Baby is gobbling up those unwanted pounds and calories. It'll be the only time in your life you can eat almost anything you want and not gain a ounce.
Have fun and congrats!

Breast feeding is so much better for the baby! Breast fed babies have stronger immune systems and better brain development. There are compounds in breast milk that we don't really know how to make synthetically, or are not absorbed as well as the natural ones in your own milk.

YES! They are working on making formula as easily digested by a baby's stomach, but cannot come close to the nutrients in a mother's milk. There are over 1,000 added properties in breast milk that are not in formula. Nothing replaces nature, sorry.

i do think so and i think most people with some education of infants will also say yes. breast milk contains natural stuff that is good for babies, but nowadays it seems to me formula is coming pretty close for those who dont feel comfortable breastfeeding.
also people will say that breastfeeding builds stronger bonds for baby and mom but if you feed formula it just depends on how you treat the feeding times!
both are good but i would pick breastfeed over formula, personally. :D

Breast is best!!!
Breastfeeding is better than bottle feeding for sooooo many reasons.
The breast milk is made exactly to give your baby what nutrients, vitamins it needs.
Breastfeeding helps your uterus contract back to its normal size after gving birth, it helps lose all that wieght gained during pregnancy.
It creates a bond between mother and child that is unique and very special.
Its cheap and convieiant, you are able to feed anywhere any time.
You can give your feed your baby according to its schedule, and not have to worry about whether you are feeding them to much.
It is natural and the way nature intended us to feed our babies.

Breast is what's 'promoted' by nurses and doctors... It's a personally choice and you shouldn't feel guilty for choosing to fed your baby formula and plus not all women are able to breast feed...

Breastfeeding is absolutely preferable to formula feeding. The baby will be healthier, and there's a ton of pros for you to: bonding, cheaper, easier, lose baby weight more quickly, etc.
