sign up and take the exam. you can go to www.collegeboard.com and find links there. my oldest son took the SAT when he was in 7th grade. all you need is a social security number....

If you are homeschool then you can still check with any public high school to find out when SAT's will be given. They have to let you test on those dates.

Contact the local school to get local #'s for people giving test. Here it is a college. You tell them your situation and they will verify the info and set a time for you to sit for the exam based on when the area public schooled kids are doing so.

You go onto collegeboard.com and sign up for the SAT test at a local school. You can sign up and pay online.

Go to your local school and ask if you can take it there, or contact your homeschooling association.

you just sign up! for most places, it's not necessarily through your school.
