1) Education - Values to be good citizens and the knowledge that can we enhance the civilization to its fullest through peaceful means also.
2) The values of the people - no matter what the religion - we worship the rich powerful and the successful - because we are insecure of our future. If we stick to principles - very difficult but sometimes we have to draw a line - we can restrict the wealth accumulation - the single most powerful engine to conflict.
3) Political will and execution - no production, sales, distribution of arms from 19 January 2007 - anywhere on earth. All arms producing companies produce catterpillars and other machineries ...
4) Every country supplies 1/10th of its citizens to the International Student Exchange Club for home stay with foreign families.
5) Twice a year the 150 or so world leaders take a couple of days away in a corporate style outing where they bond and iron out thier differences.
6) The UNO takes the initiative to build a 10 million people City of the 21st century - totally in the way we think the people will live in the 2099. This is the city with renewable energy, waste management, transport, communication, education, recreational activiities in which the world citizen of the next century will live.
Every country needs to provide what they can - finance, labor, materials, design, approval panel, and also the experimental inhabitants etc., etc., I think we are living in a completely non-efficient cities which strain our environment.

End of arms is the first priority for peace. Stop supply of Arms to others . All Nations sit around the table for negotiated settlement, by give and take policy.
