I have a 4 month old daugther, who still sleeps in her bassinet, well until tonight. I have been putting her in her crib during the day for naps so she would get use to it, and well tonight she cried when I put her down in her bassinet and just would not settle down, so I decided well lets try the crib and well shes out like a light. She wanted her crib, me on the other hand, Im not ready for this step, but I gotta let her sleep in the crib cause shes soon going to be out of the bassinet anyways. Im such a proud mommy right now, I can't believe she decided on her own she wanted to sleep in her crib. I just wanted to tell you all, and see if anyone else is at this step, taking baby out of their room to sleep and how they deal with it. Im just going nuts, wondering if I will hear in the morning even though I have the monitor on. How do other parents cope with this big change??

I did the same thing!!I put my son in his crib at 3 and half months old,he co-slept with me while dad slept downstairs!I was scared to death of putting him in his crib and he is right across the hall!LOL!!I too started him with naps in his crib,it gets them used to being in there. It was hard on me for the first week or so,my son had also had 2 heart surgerys by 3 months and it was 10 days after his second surgery that i decided that it was time,he slept like a rock,me on the other hand nope.I do well now and still bring him in with me in the mornings every now and then. You are doing great and it will be just fine, your little girl is awesome and growing up!

My son moved to his crib at 3 month (grew out of the bassinett!, Too tall!) and it was real hard at first, I would wake up every couple hours and go check on him! But he was always fine... you just get used to it. Good luck*

you will get used to her being in a different room after a week or so, and then you will really appreciate having your bedroom back!

Lots of patience. Parents find it hard to let the baby sleep in another room. Very normal.

CONGRATULATIONS, ITS HARD WHEN YOU GET USE OF THEM SLEEPING IN THE SAME ROOM WITH YOU, BUT BELIEVE ME IN THE MORNING YOU WILL HEAR HER NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.
