I have 4 pallets of bricks that the builder left in my garage. How many bricks do you think that I have and what is the average cost of each pallet?

A pallet is 500 bricks. Since the average brick weighs about 4 pounds, the pallet is a ton of bricks. But the cost of the brick varies from about 25 cents to 50 cents each, depending whether it is clay or concrete, new or used, and on the discount the builder gets from his supplier. So the value for your four pallets ranges from about $500 to $1000.

If you have difficulty in calculating the bricks required get a quantity surveyor to give you the amounts. This could save you a lot of money. Most builder suppliers have trade rates and they may also have special offers on ranges of bricks they need ot move out from stock. The more you buy the cheaper they come as a lorry load will have economies in shipping costs. Haggle hard to get the deals. As far as delivery goes make sure that a heavy truck can get in to your site and you can accommodate the pallet loads of bricks close to build with enough room for the HIAB swing to unload safely. Hope this helps
