first disolve the salt in water then filter out the pepper and let the pebbles settle on the bottom

The salt is soluble, neither of the others are, so you can add water to dissolve out the salt, then evaporate the resulting brine to recover the salt. The pepper will float in the brine, the pebbles obviously won't, so before you decant the water with the salt in it, skim the pepper off the top.

1. Sift through a sifter to separate the pebbles.
2. Put the salt and pepper in water- the salt will dissolve
3. All that will be left is the pepper.

Add water, then run it through a sieve to seperate the pebbles. Next run it trough a filter (coffee filter) to seperate the pepper. Last let the water evaporate to leave the salt. Give me 10!

try stiring the mixture......the larger elements will come to the top & smaller ones will sink to the bottom.......or you can use a fine micron filter !
