My dress is a red halter, and goes to just past my knees. I wore it last June with some really simple, black, thong sandles with about a 2inch heel. Do you think that I could wear those again even though it's winter? Or should I go buy a new pair?

There's no snow here - it's been around freezing temperature lately. And it's for a gala.

The shoes aren't the problem its the idea of wearing a halter in the winter and not being on the red carpet.

I definitely need to find "Understanding Women for Dummies" book. I dont understand whats the big deal about this and the other crazy rule about only wearing white between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Its like some sort of Act of Congress ....please wear what YOU FEEL like!!

It's your choice. If you want to be freezing, go with them, or you can get a cute pair of boots or something. I don't know. I'd rather be warm than have cute shoes. Though I do love cute shoes.

It would look good, but may need backup shoes to walk through snow

Sure, why not, as long as you aren't wading through 5 feet of snow.

It's okay on a fashion level. It's not okay on a practical level. Do you want your feet to freeze ?
