Honda, like so many manufacturers today uses a fluid that is unique to their vehicles. To ensure you get the right stuff the best thing to do is go straight to the source - your local Honda store.

Many synthetic aftermarket brands claim to be universal, but some are more universal than others. Buyer beware.

I recommend Mobile 1 auto transmission fluid. Had it put in my car 4 years ago and it is still nice and red no burnt smell and the car has 153,000 miles on it. Same goes for the motor oil. I change it and it still looks new when I drain it out.

Number one...with that many miles on the car, unless the car used synthetic oil from the start, don't use it.

On the tranny dipstick, it will tell you exactly which type of fluid to use. As far as the brands listed above, it is all your choice.

Well really any good transmission fluid will do, but you can always go to your local Honda Dealer and buy the one that they use or recommend.

each so often a strap wrench will artwork in case you're taking a sheet of demanding sandpaper, fold it so the grit is on the outsides, and use it with the strap wrench for a more effective perfect grip on the clear out. If it nonetheless gained't artwork: the vast screwdriver is the trick that works. Punch a huge screwdriver all by ability of the clear out, from the facet, no longer the top. there's a frustrating tube interior the middle you want to bypass to at least one fringe of, and use as a fulcrum to pry adverse to. It gained't bypass precisely by ability of the middle. in case you punch by ability of the some distance facet, make confident your screwdriver is grew to develop into with a purpose to no longer slice the clear out like a knife as you pry. Have it grew to develop into so the flat of the blade pushes adverse to the fringe of its hollow.
