Of course. The dream may change along the way but if you plan properly and work hard it can happen.
It can also lead to greater achievable dreams.

Sometimes, it's not just about working hard. You need to have that sort of 'gift' and interest in order to fulfill a particular dream. Just by having a dream and beliefs are not sufficient. That's why we often hear people saying work smart not work hard. Anyway, just remember we are humans with lots of imperfections. And one failure doesn't mean anything. We must constantly see towards the bright side. :)

Goals are overzealous. I know people say that anything is possible; but IMHO-it's not. A cow can't jump over the freaking moon; a person whose flat footed can't be in the armed forces(medical disqualification)-no matter how bad they want it. Or someone who is not good enough to get to their dream school know what it's like to be there-because there is a huge difference between wanting it and qualifying; verses wanting it; but not meeting the standards. I know so many people who had a dream and gave it all they had; yet they weren't good enough-yes, it hurt them, that was their goal-but that is life-you can't always get want you want/worked hard for.

i think dreams are stupid and are a thief to the situations at one's hand. the whole time people are spending in la la land dreaming about being a rock star or a poet the real world is already settled and working and making families and such. if we didnt have have so much simple minded people encouraging these gimps who earn so much and do so little- the other simpletons would'nt have their heads in the sand dreaming their lives away. no.

No. Just ask the latest round of American Idol contestants. If you have the ability and talent then yes, by all means! But if you just have a passion and lack the skills then there are certain areas where it is not possible to fulfill your dreams.

No, it is ludicrous. I am a 5 foot 7 inch middle aged man. No matter how hard I work at it, I will never be another Michael Jordan.

No. Every peson has great potential and unique strengths. Probably more is possible than an individual can comprehend. But every person has limitations. A quadraplegic can't make it to the NBA. A felon will never be President of the United States. A man cannot bear a child. Etc., etc., including much more mundane examples. So no...not "any dream."
