He's Catholic, so yes.

Sylvester Stallone described to Plugged In Online and other members of the press how he'd wandered away from the Catholic faith of his childhood, gone through a humbling professional dry period, and recently realized how closely his relationship with God was connected to his best cinematic work. "I've said it before," Stallone said, "I felt as though God was moving me to do [Rocky]. That's why I started out the first Rocky with a picture of Jesus. And I just felt the same kind of feeling was moving through me now. ... I wanted to [tell this story] of resurrection and redemption, this personal relationship that I had with Rocky and God, and everything I had gone through in the last 16 or 17 years. There were some real peaks and valleys. I felt now was the time to try to put it in the voice of something that people would come to see, someone they had trusted."

This is the second post about Stallone and how wonderful his new film is. It's a series of films, most of which are very badly acted, about beating the crap out of somebody else, ie boxing. full stop end of story. How you think that is spiritual is beyond logic. Stallone has not shown any skill or imagination over the decades and has repeatedly foisted this crap on us again and again.... ie how many Rocky films are there now. ZZZzzzzzz
