Yep...leave the airport and hop on 87 South and get off at Santa Clara Blvd and make a left at the bottom of the ramp. Go 4 blocks and then you are smack in the middle of downtown. If you go another 2 blocks you will run right into San Jose State.
Make a U Turn get back on 87 go North and merge onto 101 North and drive approx 43 miles and you will hit San Francisco. About 45 minutes with no traffic....oh....you didn't ask that did you?

From here - get on the Nimitz and take it South. Eventually, after Oakland, San Leandro, Hayward, Union City, Fremont, and Alvizo one arrives in San Jose.

Yeah, it's about half an hour south of San Francisco. Drove there from Portland once, and visited friends who still live there.
