I don't think the network could meet their outrageous salary demands anymore.

Because the actors were ready to go on....
Ever hear the phrase "Jumping the Shark".... There was an episode late in Happy Days, years after Happy Days really should have been off the air. The writers had already written everything that could be written about that group of people. I digress.... so anyway, Fonzie jumped a shark in an episode. It was tired, and the show should have been off the air anyway, and obviously the writers had run out of material to write about.
I think the Friends cast didn't want that to happen to them. Remember it's a group of people, the same people, how many different scenarios can you see these same people go through before they "Jump the Shark"
I think it's great for shows to go out while they're still on top.

there have been rumours of a function movie many years in the past, (after sex interior the city) although the forged were 'luke warmth' on the idea. so some distance as i understand, no individual is in touch in bringing it lower back to television. It became so dominant for see you later, that something except wild success might want to be seen as a failure. The writers have moved on, the actors have moved on... and so has television. the vast Bang concept is sharper than acquaintances became... no longer least because acquaintances set the conventional for it! in basic terms an same because the Beatles... enable or not that is.

I think the actors decided to...
The ratings absolutely did NOT drop!!!
They won like 22 awards in just 2000-2004. and it went off air in 2004. Also, re-runs costed the channels 1 MILLION dollars per EIPSODE!!! What kind of show with poor ratings would cost THAT much to be aired??

It had been 10 years and the cast wanted to go in different directions. Sad, since each of the cast members were making $1 million per episode. I don't know who wouldn't want that deal!

Because an alian spaceship was flying over as the show was being aired and they felt so sorry about that, they reversed the lobotomy of those watching!

The actors were being paid too much. It was ridiculous. They were getting a paycheck for every episode, per person, thats a whole lotta money.

because they went as far as they could go. Most of the actors in it wanted and were more than ready to move on.... think about it - when you have worn a coat that you have had for 10 years..... don't you want to get a new one?
