It came in a large set of tools, mostly drills amd items to be used in a power drill. It is gray plastic, tubular, 1 1/8 inch long and slightly tapered. It nas a spring inside located in the smaller half of the tube. Just inside the smaller end is a circular washer the inside of which is stellate. Does anyone know what it is and how to use it? Adjacent to the place in the slot it was held in it says "screw locator"

It helps to keep the screwdriver on the screw when you're in a tough position. One side goes over the screw then you can put the screwdriver in the other end...it guides the screwdriver into place and helps to keep it there.
