First off, wireless means "No Wires", which means that there should be a network cable unplugged symbol under the LAN area. What you need to do, is if you have built in wireless, access it using the Laptop's utility and if you are running it via a PCI card, you can access it by the task bar by right-clicking on the wireless signal and opening the monitor to connect to your router. Also, please note: You need an existing internet connection to make a router work - it has to be connected to a modem

Right-click on the wireless icon and select "repair". If that does not work, then restart all of your equipment. Start with the cable/dsl modem, wait until all of the lights come on, then restart the wireless router, then restart your laptop.

"Network cable unplugged" refers to the Ethernet plug-in, not wireless. You have to setup your wireless access - it ain't easy if you don't know what you are doing.

Go to your modem and UNPLUG it and count to 10- plug it back in. Then go reboot your computer and you should be okay.
If not then your cable/dsl is down- call your internet company.
Good Luck
