The tapestry of Life on this planet is very, very fragile. It has been severely upset and is changing drastically in an upheaval that will last for another 75 - 100 years. By that time, human's must have learned how to repair and stabilize the geophysics of the Earth. And, we must have found a solution for meteor threats. If not, we will lose domain over this planet, and, we could possibly lose completely our entire atmosphere. Our species will suffer or die, but other life will continue. Even if there were high amounts of radioactive wastes and biological warfare agents released, life will find a new way. The most important point to remember is, humans already have the science to solve these problems. Research and technology development are underway. Anyone who wants to save the planet and all life as we know it, should study math and science and join this massive effort. Every new generation of humankind has had new challenges to face. Be aware that no matter what nonsense you might hear that global warming is not really occuring, there most certainly are changes that have begun that cannot be ignored. It is serious, but we'll rise to the challenge.

You never know! If pollution continues, and global warming continues, the planet's human population may not die out for millions of years. Extreme weather as a result of global warming or UV radiation after the ozone layer is gone may wipe out many people, but humans may eventually find a way around it: (like living on the moon or underground/underwater. If plantation runs out, we could find another way to live. (maybe we'll evolve beyond the need to eat plants! maybe we'll evolve to only need water, or oxygen, or other abundant resources).
But something else could happen!
I saw a TV show about things that could wipe out all of life on earth. An asteroid could wipe out all life as we know it. Or, a pandemic could break out. Or, the Yellowstone super-volcano, a volcano with enough power to wipe out North America, could erupt at anytime and cover the earth with ashes. Leading to a repeat of the extinction of dinosaurs (ashes=no sunlight=no plants=no animals=no humans).
(But of course, if nothing happens that wipes out humans, then in 4-5 billion years from now, the sun will burn out and explode: destroying the solar system)

Here's another one. You can move to Mars too and no one will follow to pollute the planet on ya.
