Do y'all think that American Idol is staged or are most of the people that audition (the horrible ones) are just brave and have really high confidence think that they could really be the next American idol. That lady that sang Don't Cha by the Pussycat Dolls whew she was something else...

Nah they just have high confidence. It's really kinda funny though. They're all like 'I'm the next American Idol. No doubt. I rock big time." Then they suck? Wow, it's hilarous!

And I KNOW! That girl was WOW. Jeez. I watched that part so many times, probably funniest audition. With the mom, and ohmygod.

There were some weird looking people on the show last night. I can't believe some made a complete fool out of themselves. I think it's staged.

that's because before people can even see the judges, the producers, nigel lithgoe or something like that, screens them and tells them to 'yes' or 'no'...regardless of talent sometimes. They also have 3 people go in a row and they just cut you like that! So usually they send the bad ones for tv and cut the good ones,

I think a lot of those people are just trying to get on television. But then there are the ones that just really seem to believe that they are great singers. It's amazing!

I personaly think they don't have good friends and family who will tell them the TRUTH about their lack of or non-existing talent
