Use good quality, heavy-duty corrugated cardboard. I would purchase new, just to be sure they haven't been weakened. Wrap each piece tightly in bubble wrap. Use some kind of stuffing (more bubble wrap or Styrofoam popcorn) to fill the box completely. You want it tight. Once you have the box packed and sealed up, give it a gentle shake. You shouldn't hear any jiggling inside. If you do, add more stuffing. (Obviously, don't make anything so tight that it breaks under the pressure.) Tell them when you ship it that it is fragile, and they should put a sticker on. Insure it.

Don't put all the pieces in one box. The weight of each piece could cause them to become broken as they move toward eachother in the box.

Wrap with at least 1" of bubble wrap and use packing material to add another inch between objects and between the ceramics and the outside of the box. Anohter good idea is to place each piece in bubble wrap adn then in it's own box and then into a larger box.
Be sure to ship insured.

Only thing I can tell you NOT to do is to send them by USPS! Postal workers get a wicked pleasure out of the sounds coming from a stomped-on package! If anything's left unbroken, the mailman will take care of that when he stuffs the package into his truck and then flips it on somebody's doorstep. UPS and the other parcel companies have a much better reputation for safe transit of packages. You still need to pack well, of course. The bubble-wrap with the bigger bubbles works good, as do those plastic bags that inflate around the item. "Peanuts" tend to shift in transit and your ceramics might end up on one side of the box.

You need to buy a lot of bubble wrap and syrofoam peanuts for this journey.

Wrap up the pieces using a LOT of bubblewrap. Pour some peanuts in the box first, then add the piece that was wrapped in bubblewrap. Pour in the rest of the peanuts so you are surrounding the piece totally.

Write FRAGILE all over the box when you send it so people know.

Good luck.

Well, you need to something to support the ceramic pieces like bubble wrap and wrap/tape them individually and fill box with newspaper. The bubble wrap and box can be purchased at the FEDEX store. Then, you can either ship at the FEDEX store or through the Post Office.
