Is he one medication? If he is and it's not helping it might be time to look at atypical antipsychotics.

It seems like your son is being pushed too hard in school, even if he doesn't show it. Take him out some place he likes for one day, and try to forget about school and homework. Take him out and get him one or two things he really likes and take him to his favorite place so he can let off a little steam. Then, the next day, when he's relaxed, casually talk to him about his homework, but don't mention anything about his grades or school. Talk to his teacher to find out what he's having trouble with and tutor him on that for maybe an hour or two at a time. Good luck!

1) See a psychologist immediately. Talk to special ed at your school to see if there is one that they know about that deals in learning disabilities. You need a behavioral program.
2) Talk to that Dr. (you may have to be referred to a physchiatrist) about drugs.
3) Dyslexia goes along with other behavioral problems. He may just be ADHD rather than ODD.
4) Talk to your school system IMMEDIATELY about getting him into classes for his dyslexia. It can be overcome (although never cured) if he gets help NOW.
5) Punishing him won't necessarily work. ADHD kids go for attention and they don't care what kind.

Have you tried having him enrolled in a school program that is meant to deal with children with learning disabilities? That may help him calm a bit because these teachers are not only trained to deal with behavioural issues, but they are also trained to teach methods geared to children with learning disabilities like dyslexia.

If you already have him in a program like that, you can try enrolling him in councilling or therapy that will help him deal with his emotions and feelings. If he as ADD (what I think you may have meant...) then therapy can help him deal with his behavioural issues.

Remember to get the school involved, as well as any babysitters/daycare centres he may attend. They can all help to make your son a happy, productive person!
