We have to go to court for a support order in a few months to establish the child support and I have found out he is moving out of his house, possibly selling it, selling his cars. Can he get out of child support by doing those things?

It shouldn't affect your child support case but I would document everything he does with his assets and have the proof with you when you go to court.

if the money is coming out from his check directly, then no because the child support is attached to his social security number, even if he changes jobs, it'll still come out, but it must be ordered by the court that way. if he actually pays you, like with a check or cash, he might run out and you'll have to go to court again. try to lobby for the direct paycheck deduction.

As long as he is getting a steady paycheck, he has to pay child support or they can go after his wages.

no, just cause he moves, doesn't mean he won't have to pay, is he stupid? He will still have to have a job, and judges and magastraits look down on people that don't pay their support.

He can run, but he can't hide from his responsibilities. The court can order that his paycheck be garnished.

The law will get him. In NC, he can't renew his license if he is too far in arrears. Men like him give us a bad name.

You think he is going to run and is liquidating everything he owns to make it easier? Tell your lawyer!
