why would someone bleed heavily while on the pill?

my friend just started taking birth control to regulate periods but its made it worse, shes had her period for like a month, with clots of blood...she just called the doctor today for an app., but does anyone know what it could be.

it's possible that the estrogen levels are still to low or out of wack, check into it.. there are always other options. Good luck

She could need a higher-dose pill or she could have a bigger problem like endometriosis or fibrosis.
