Found some vacant land we are interested in buying . We contacted the realtor about it to get the address. She told us to go to her website to find out further info. (she said she was out of town) We did, and there wasn't an address listed. Anyway.... talked to another realtor who is the mom of a friend of ours. And she contacted this realtor to ask her. Well, the realtor was sick, blah, blah, blah..... she'd call back in a few days. She didn't. So the our friend's mom called again. This time she gave a different story. For whatever reason she will not give us any information. Is there anything we can do??

FYI, they rarely have addresses listed anymore, it's a liability. I always have to at least ID myself and give a little info before I get an exact street address on anything I call about.

She isn't giving the other realtor any info because she doesn't want to split the commission with anyone. You need to call her again direct, this time say we're looking tomorrow, what time can we see it???

Call another realtor. Just because the realtor who "listed" the property will not talk with you it doesn't mean that another realtor can't get the same information. If the property is legitimately for sale and listed in the "MLS" any realtor can access the information.

Look up the owners in the county plat. Contact them directly. They will fix the Realtor.

Alternately see another Realtor. They should have a copy of the listing.

Call the real estate office where the Realtor works and tell them what is going on.

You should stop going between 2 or 3 Realtors. Pick YOUR Realtor to represent your interest. YOUR Realtor, representing YOUR interest should be able to find the listing on the MLS without even contacting the listing agent.

contact who the realtor works for and notify them or you can notify the board of realtors.....also an option would be go to your cities tax assessors office or website and it will list the property, if you have the address and you can locate the current owner, or if you dont know the address, you could probably find out through that site or at your local chamber of commerce or library...also on a side note, some realtors require prequalification beore showing a property.....but if you can get the address, i would recommend you go online and locate the current owner and let them know how "great" a job their realtor is doing.

You can call ANY realtor and that realtor can get you information on a property. Maybe she herself is interested in buying it, who knows, just sounds strange. I would just go ahead and contact another realtor and find out the info you need.

Is this a company or individuals? If it is a company, ask to speak to the person in charge. Do not tell them what it is regards to unless you have to. Then make your complaint. Make sure you get the names of all the individuals that are refusing to give any information. If you live close to this realtor...go there in person. Sometimes they have properties listed on bulletin boards. That may be all you need ....find the address and you can trace who it belongs to and contact that person yourself and let them know how their realtor has handle their property. You may be able to make the deal yourself.

Just my opinon.

If it is listed for sale it will be in the Multiple Listing Service MLS...so any realtor has access to the info.

Work with a better Realtor. Make sure you report the one that is not willing to work with you. You might have to look it up. Try the site below.

call her broker.

some realtors, ethical or not, hold out and only share their listings with preferred clients.

they will pretend to lose your offer, get it to the seller slower, just do bad things.

post a complaint to the broker, and let your states realty board know also. They will look into it.
