Yes, above are correct that no this an Internal Burner. It easy to install and should have instructions. Follow the instructions. If, you have a Tower Desktop you unplug it first so you not get shocked. Remove the side panel on the left facing from the front. Inside you see the Slots for the Burner. Remove a front cover for the slot you want. Slide it in from the front, usually there may be some plastic holders you remove and place one on each side and slide it in until it click into place. Connect the Bus Cable and find the Molex Power cable and connect. Most of your cables only go one way. You can look at your CD/DVD ROM Drive and it connect the same. IF, you not have a cable you may need to buy one or remove your CD/DVD ROM Cables to connect. IF, you have the extra cable look where the Big Flat Cable plug onto the board and may be another place to connect the Burner. Put the Cover back on and plug in the computer and turn it on follow instructions the come with the Burner.
Below a link to NEC Support. This a basic Install Guide and it help. It is a PDF file and Acrobat Reader should start and load. SAVE this to your computer to read!!! Look where it go when you save.

No that is an internal burner. It is easy for a technician or someone with decent computer hardware knowledge to install.

It basically involves mounting in the computer case, setting a jumper, plugging in an IDE cable and power, turning on and installing software. That's assuming you have a free IDE port of course.

no thats internal but its fairly simple to install unless you are very very bad at opening a computer and installing it. All it needs is two cables that should be close to the empty drive bay on your computer.
