Not truly. If you simply split the sound to your front, rear, center and sub speakers it would still only have left and right sound. It would only be the same sound but from more speakers.

You really need to upgrade your sound card. Soundblaster Audigy2 ZS is an excellent 24bit card for around $50-75. You can get it for cheaper on ebay.
