bill ideas?

Does anyone have any ideas for my government class? We have to write our own bill and vote on it. Any good topics?

Write about something that's important to you. It may not be realistically, or legally, possible, but since it's for a class, it doesn't really need to conform.

In government, there are a lot of things that should be, but aren't. Thank about something that isn't a law, or that is and needs to be changed, and make it about that.

For example, if you think the voting age should be raised/lowered, include why it will be better for the country, what effect it will have, and why the change is needed. In fact, include the above for any topic you choose.

Hard to come up with an idea without knowing your opinion... since you are a Republican Representative then maybe pick some sort of ''lower the deficit... cut spending...' bill.

The BILL could be to establish all National Politicians to be on the regular social security deduction basis from their checks and do away with their golden parachute program.---OR---

The BILL could be to provided free college tuition for the children of educators when both parents are teachers in K-12 public schools.

I think a good topic is reducing oil emissions from autos and to create technology that runs on clean energy. The technology is available there just needs to be someone to jumpsart the trend.

changing the drinking age.

I'm in the Military and i find it funny that some guys and girls are as young as 17 and are over fighting in a war that we can't question. and yet when we come home we aren't allowed to go into a bar and order a cold one. Like i said, i find it funny that 17 yr. olds are allowed to go to war but can't come back to the states and have one.
