You need a bio-diesel refiner. And you will need to add lye, and methanol in the proper proportions, blend, strain, and fill the tank! Smells like french fries.

If you're referring to diesels that run on used fryer oil, it's actually not being converted to diesel, just filtered through some very fine filters. The first diesel engines ran on peanut oil. The main cost of the system is the veggie oil pre-heater. It's tubes carrying engine coolant to heat the oil in the tank.

You don't need to. Filter it then put it in the fuel tank.

You don't, you just add a drop of spirit to thin it down and make it more combustible.
