I was just looking into history and this thought crossed my mind. These nations were created to separate people on the bases of their religion. Pakistan for muslims and Hindustan (India) for hindus. I guess british wanted to **** us all up big time. None the less India today does not impose any religion on her citizens. As years pass by Bangladesh, Pakistan and India are coming closer togather. They all look for similarities and call themselves "Desis".
Obviously this is just a crazy thought. But it is not all that bad. Think about it, we will have no more Kashmir dispute. Terrorism will be more controlled. No more problem of securing india-bangladesh border. We might even make a big and stronger country.

Your thoughts on this....?

I have already answered another of your question and found that this is similar Q. Therefore, I am appending my response below:

Hello All,

I am from Bangladesh and I salute the Asker to post such a nice and soothing question. Let us see how other countries in the world have made something similar possible, even though they have maintained their national identity distinct. These are ASEAN and EU.

We all know that there are currently 15 member countries of the "Schengen" group in Europe, so named after the Luxembourgian town where the original 7 country members of the group signed a treaty that removed internal border controls between their countries-thereby promoting free and easy access for its citizens to travel and conduct some forms of trade.

The current members are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.

What took the European Commission to come this far is also know to the readers of this message. My question is, are we the three countries and its leadership 'civilized' or 'educated' enough to have some common understanding to help ease tension?

India was a bit hesitant when SARC (later became SAARC) was launched in early 1980s. It is now about 25 years that we are talking economic cooperation among the SAARC countries. What is needed now is India's leading role like team-captain of SAARC to 'motivate' and 'lead' SAARC nations with 100% sincerity. I am sure that the stepping stone has already been laid and the time is not far away when we would have regional cooperation like ASEAN, if not Shengen countries of EU.

Now, the question is: who will bell the cat. In this case, the cat is firstly India and then Pakistan. Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives are waiting to see the Train move and start its journey.

Thanks again for thinking positive and suggesting to build confidence among nations, rather than posing irritating questions to divide us further and then apportion the blame on to the British or on hidden enemies for all the ills.

Best of Luck!!

Hello everybody,
As demanded,I am declaring my nationality that is of India.
I think today everyone is looking for a free, peaceful and prosperous society, free from menace of terrorism and loads of scepticism. Each individual is aspiring best possible life for himself,I don't relate good life to monetary well being only, it includes other factors also like education, health etc, so need of the day is not to create a big country or so,everyone is just looking for best prospects in current globalizing scenario.I am in with the idea that for well-being of common people,a strong and determined country is prerequisite but not big one for sure. There is no relevance in making a big country comprising India,Pakistan & Bangladesh only.It is time to think beyond, making all borders irrelevant with mutual harmony and settlement of political and economic disputes.I m talking about a global village where no country would be able to offend even an individual. Its whole concept will be based on human development in harmony with enviornment.Equitable distribution of resources with freedom of utilizing them best for oneself, ensuring justice to all and incentive to individual individual hard work, will be the ideology.Humanity will be the only religion. The point is,globlisation has provided us an opportunity to create a 'global country' with maximum prospects for 'the civilization' we are living in,then why are we constraining ourselves to subcontinent only?Only need is to utilize globalization as a tool to carve out this beautiful dreamy sculpture.Strong and determined will can transform this dream into reality by making globalization more inclusive and responsive to need of people, even standing at lowest point of economic & social ladder.Benefits wouldn’t trickle down automatically,we have to work for it.
It may seem a bit dreamy, but lesser dreamy than putting India,Pakistan and Bangladesh in a single country regarding situations as of now.
If we are daring to dream, lets dream big.......
Leave history behind,look at future.......
