I'm not really looking for answers about people who were directly involved and have physical scars or have lost people, i'm more interested in the physcological effects they may have had, i.e. maybe you walk more than taking the tube/subway etc . . .

The authorites told us to go about our business yet where I live we're not allowd to go on the wharf and fish anymore. I said I lived here all my life and could produce all the ID he wants. He shook his head.I said do I look Mid Eastern? I didn't get anywhere and they tell us not to be paranoid.
They watch their own people while a terrorist could swim under water and plant their bomb. They're not that stupid to walk through a gate. Besides theres nothing woth bombing. No explosives, population or anything of value. Just like Klink and the boys from Hogan's heros.

Well I'm more security conscious at airports, along the canal, railway and bus stations than I used to be.

I have found that many people have become so hypervigilant that the slightest difference from them causes them to panic and report to the authorities, whereas before it'd be more of a laisse faire attitude.

I find people are more guarded dwhen travelling, almost to the point of rudeness. If you're not like me I don't want to know or talk to you.

People are genuinely more frightened to travel, especially by themselves. They travel in groups now moreso than alone.

I have no desire to fly anywhere. I'd sooner drive 3,000 miles, or even take a Greyhound bus.

I feel that my (and everyone's) privacy has truly been invaded by government--and WTF is Homeland Security--like we didn't have enough secret organizations (FBI,CIA, etc.) Just more jackoffs to scare us further.

When any of my friends or family members travel I become extremely worried--to the point of going crazy thinking about the things that could happen to them.

I hate that there are helicopters flying overhead all night long, and I hate hearing sirens all night long. I hate that people are fighting between themselves, when they should be thinking of ways to stop the war and save the world.

I hear allot more muslim (is that the race I'm thinking of?) jokes now, and I'm even more afraid of accidently bringing something metal to an airport. I also wonder if a soldier could easily just be disguised as one (the ones that patrol the airports).
