to do what? two modems in one computer or two computers with one modem each? You want to share internet connection? You need to give more details man!

Well you can't hook up two modems to the internet unless you have 2 telephone lines in the house even then you couldn't dial into the server as one connection would cancel out the other.
Same goes for ADSL once your logged on another connection would cancel the connection out and so the other modem would logon.
So no it can't be done.

why would you need to use two modems on one internet connection?, they would probably have an error as one connects and the other gets blocked. Having two modems couldn't increase the connection speed in the slightest.

No you can not. (dial up modem)
If you have a cable modem you can hook it's output to a ROUTER and hook several computers to that.
if everyone wanted to use the net at the same time then yes
it will slow down.

connecting two modems is impractical, you're better off just connecting a router to your existing modem if you wish to split the connection. yes, you will lose bandwidth.
