Here is some info on studying for the MBBS (or equivalent) in Australia. The following link gives links for prospective international students to each University in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. The site says you need to apply to the Unis direct. I guess the same applies interstate as well. Most of the main Unis here have medical degrees.

MBBS is awarded prominently in the Commonwealth incuding UK, Canada, Australia & New Zealand and other parts of the world will award you with MD especially USA. But, if you're doing medicine in Ireland, you'll be awarded with MBBCh. Those qualifications are recognised across the globe.
