I asked an employee at a book store here in America and she said the release date was the 30th of June. Or maybe a couple days sooner so that it ends up on the weekend.
But from a second source.. http://www.mugglenet.com/books/futurebooks/book7/releasedate.shtml I'm gonna have to say that there is no set release date. It says there however that the popular theory is 7-7-07. Because of the magical number.

My favourite books are the last 3, and these are which I think are the best written; however coincidental. I think they are all superbly written, but the dialogue in Order of the Phoenix is so EPIC in my opinion and all the action is written smoothly and to good pace so you don't get bored (although I never get bored with HP...never). It's just incredible. I've always had a soft spot for HBP, probably because I've read it the most, about 25 times. This has alot of Dumbledore in it, and whatever Dumbledore says is amazing. Also, the Pensieve moments are great and keep you completely captured. Well of course, Deathly Hallows is the last book and without a doubt has the most action; the journey to the burrow and the wedding, the ministry, Godric's Hollow, Malfoy Manor, Gringotts and the legendary Battle of Hogwarts. All written superbly with great detail and for myself, the biggest "thrills" I've ever had. WOOOOOOOOOW, I love HARRY POTTER!!!!!! :D Hallows. Although the Hallows are about death when united, they seem so much more pure than Horcruxes. Horcruxes are acts of evil, and what the locket did to poor Ron was evil, including the diary that possessed Ginny. Hallows are interesting, have wonderful power (although sometimes lead to disasters) and they help the trio alot on their travels. :)

There isn't any release date for the book yet, in any country, although it looks to be sometime this year, as Amazon.com in the U.K. has already set up the pre-order on their site. I hope they give a release date soon, I hate waiting...

No release date yet but it's been speculated to be 07/07/07 I think.
