I love the Colts! But have you ever noticed that when Peyton makes a mistake, he seems to take it pretty harsh? Sometimes I think that attitude can kill your performance! Its the NFL! NO QUARTERBACK!!! NOT ONE!!! can not throw an interception one time or another! Its gonna happen! Your gonna throw picks! The best thing you can do is keep your head up and move on! However I have to say that Peyton is doing better! After throwing 2 picks in the last game he came right back and got his team in position to actually score points. And he had some great drives that ran alot of time off the clock. I think quarterbacks need to focus on the superbowl! And thats it! If you listen to people like Shannon Sharpe and Dan Marino; you will never go anywhere! I can't believe that those guys where such great players! Because judging by their ignorance you would have thought they played golf.

Well that may be true!! But if it where me, that would make me play my heart out! I think Marino is pissed because Manning broke his record of the most touchdowns in a season. And Shannon Sharpe never played quarterback so, He knows nothing about the position that these guys are in.

Its easy for a former tight end to talk trash. all they had to do is catch the ball and run! The quarterbacks call plays and their passes have to be damn near perfect!

He is hard on himself simply because he expects only the BEST out of himself and out of those who play with him. There is nothing wrong with that. Not only is he hard on himself but he is HARD on himself not to let it happen again and not to let a mistake ruin his game.

I am sure sometimes Tony helps if he sees this is a problem. Have you ever heard Tony Dungy speak about his attitude on football? He has an excellent perspective and is a very down to earth man. So if he ever feels like Manning is not psychologically in the game I am sure he will give him a pep talk.

But Manning has looked too good after many mistakes to think that he is too hard on himself. These players are surrounded by people trained in sports pyschology. And I know that Manning knows what kind of mindset a negative attitude can have. So I am confident that when he comes back out on the field he has a sound mindset for the next set of plays!

He's hard on himself because when the team fails everyone seems to blame him, not the defence, not the coach, not the receivers, not the RBs. It's crap!! As for him having an ego what the hell are you talking about CAT. I have watched every game this year and every interview he has had and not once did he say anything that would make me think he has an ego. Even when his defence was the worst in the league, he never once said that was why they lost. He can only do so much, he IS human and he is the face of a franchise.

COLTS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!

YEah for Robert...umm.....his wife's name is Ashley Thompson Manning...just FYI. But i think he wants to have his dad proud of him. His mom said in an interview with CBSsportsline that peyton always wanted to be the good kid. the one that always did everything right. So he puts a lot of pressure on himself to do good. I mean he stresses out too much.Just relax Peyton, we all believe in you. Just look @ Brady he threw just about 3 INT during the Chargers game and came off with a win against them. Just Peyton needs to relax and listen to Dungy and trust Dungy with the calls. Dungy is older and wiser and knows what to expect with the defense of the other team. If peyton just chilled and stayed focus on winning he would actually win playoff games. i mean really 1 INT is not gonna kill the game. Look @ Brady he has 3 super bowl rings but is he perfect.....the point is no one is perfect. and he feels the pressure to live up to his father's legacy and the Manning family name. Since his brother Cooper didn't get to play football then that means he is the next oldest son that plays football and sees that he can't ruin the Manning name. All the Manning family are great players. like Eli, right now may look bad, but with time he will be performing to Peyton's level and possibly even higher. Relax and trust your guys. if he puts trust in his men then they will play their hearts out for him. Football isn't a one man show....its teamwork. He has one of the best kickers in the NFL and has Marvin Harrison working with him. He just has to trust them and Dungy...

-trust your men
-trust Dungy
- You will win the Super Bowl
~Go Colts~

Manning is in love with himself..........He's on a big time ego trip and judging from his aftergame press conferences it's his teammates he's hard on, not himself........He can't wait to blame others for mistakes and he thinks he's above Dungy as well......His playoff record speaks for itself and it doesn't speak favorably.........Marino was a great QB but he had the winningest coach in football, Don Schula calling the plays and didn't take it upon himself to try and run the whole show like Manning does........Sharpe was an excellent player but that doesn't make them good commentators..........They're only giving their thoughts just like any football fan does........They're playing ability was far superior to their commentaries..........It was the same with Montana........Best QB in the game but as a commentator a big 0.......If you want to listen to some really good commentary watch FOX with Bradshaw, Long and Jimmy Johnson........Those guys have a darn good take on what's going to happen on the field in any given game.............CAT

whether he takes it to hard or not, it wont affect him. If he ever goes into coaching his team will be the next 72 dolphins. He is unstoppable. Except in the playoffs.

Not hard enough on himself. He usually throws his team under during post game press conferences, a good example was after the Steelers tore him up last year. He usually points the finger and blames his recievers or his kicker or his offensive line. Its never his fault.

I think Peyton Manning is hard on himself but for very good reasons. He's made it so far, he's in the playoffs!

He can't be as hard on himself as the announcers are on him. They don't believe in him in the playoffs. You know that bothers him. If you here how bad you are all the time, at some point you might start believeing it.
