yeah want to know how to convert joules into 1/cm
that mean like when u solve E (J) then i need E in unit (1/cm)
e=h*v
v is frequency (1/s )

I dont really understand. do want to know how to convert joules into 1/cm? I dont think its possible but ill think about it. and the way i understand youre question, E=hv has no relevence
Please clarify with more info if u can

After seeing what meg said, now i understand, it definitely was not very clear. Just to clarify for you, wavelength is not measured in energy, but in length.

wavelength =c/v and 1/wavelength has units cm^-1 if c has units cm/sec and v has units 1/sec
