You should go somewhere where you think interesting people go. Ask yourself what is your definition of an interesting person, because everybody is different. When making friends you should keep an open mind, and don't launch into friendships too fast becaus people often aren't as they seem on first impressions. On that note, you should never judge on first impressions. The most interesting people are often the shyest, and once you get over the social awkwardness you will probably find that the awkwardness will go away, giving way to an interesting relationship.

Make a lest of the things that interest you and the traits in people you admire. Stick it on the merrier so it's in your mind every morning. You will soon recognize these interests and traits in the people that possess them. Discuss the interests you have in common. It's easy to talk to someone who's like minded. Ask honest questions and be your self. People are usually happy to accommodate. It's a compliment to them that you consider there opinion worthy of consideration. Good luck and I hope this is helpful.

yeah, alot of people are akward, so shoot em'. just because a person is akward it doesn't mean they are uniteresting, maybe you confidence is intimidating. if you want to get to know people, make them feel comfortable enough to be themselves around you. you'd be suprised how much seemingly akward people have to offer if you get to know them.
