A scientist -- he or she would probably have something interesting to talk about while we wait, and possibly some ideas of ways to escape or be rescued.

Alone with my laptop or a good book.
Why? I'm not gonna generalize about someones personality and choose them based on their profession. For all I know, the businessman/woman, who many might expect to confident and savvy, could be have an anxiety disorder and spend the 8 hours crying thinking their going to die. The blue collar worker might be an undiscovered genius. I heard the man with the highest I.Q. in the world is a bouncer. The scientist, who some may expect to be an interesting intellectual, could actually be a racist who hopes to bring eugenics back. No matter which of the three people I pick, I wouldn't know what I'd be getting. Rather than roll the dice, I'd choose solitude. And since I usually have a book in my bag wherever I go, I could spend the eight hours reading it. Why heap more uncertainty on top of an already difficult situation?

I wanna be with a scientist, because he is a business minded person, and if blue collar means hands-on, hardworker, s/he fits that description also. And i want to soak up as much knowledge on how to accomplish as much as s/he has. Also, i would hope that he would think of some way to get the elevator open or moving again

I was once trapped in an elevator at a hospital once. It was only for a few hours but I was 8 months pregnant and there was a couple of nurses and a doctor with me. I am not sure if I could only choose from the choices you gave me, which I would choose but I would not choose to be alone. I am grateful that the time I was stuck I had the nurses and doctors with me and if it ever happened again they would be my choice again.

well, I think the blue collar worker would be the most interesting and down to earth. the business person would probably be complaining the whole time about missing work and losing money, the scientist would probably analyze the problem to death, but the blue collar worker would probably be happy to not be working and would probably be the most fun.
alone, if i had a cell phone, but that's a long time to be alone and kinda scared.

I'd rather spend it alone, because frankly, I dislike most people. It sounds incredibly selfish, but I think it would be the best option because otherwise I'd end up fighting with the person. I'd just take a nap, or sit there thinking about philosophy until they got me out.

Ok if I was going to be in there for 8 hours my first choice would be (E)! My hubby. The things we could do..........
If I have to choose one of the others though I would go with (c), the scientist. If I could get him/her to talk to me in a form of English I could comprehend, it could be fascinating to learn all about what it is they are doing!

Donald Trump, he's exciting and speedy, i'd opt for to search for suggestion from with him. and he looks to delight in assembly human beings. Hilary might want to lie to me and be dull and get aggravated with me desirous to hearken to about bill and in no way her. Britney might want to kill me at the same time with her accent and her lack of panties, are you able to word, we are waiting 8 hours in the elevator and she or he's sitting on the floor in a skirt! YHAAUK! George Bush, that would want to properly be like rubbing a cheese grater over my face for 8 hours, Kevin Federline... who cares about him. i go with Trump!

The blue-collar worker wouldn't have let himself be trapped for that long...especially if it interfered with his union-mandated morning coffee break, lunch, and afternoon cigarette break. Besides, there's got to be something in his tool belt to help us escape. Besides, if I was trapped with an attractive business woman, she wouldn't makeout with me anyways....
