It would depend on how many people were drafted.The real effect on the economy would be if a large scale war occurred; then we would shift into a war time economy where there would have to be some choices between butter (consumer goods) and guns (production for military uses).

It would crash. Draft-age people contribute a lot to the economy. It could. however, boost Canada's economy when everyone moves there to escape the draft.

It could throw us into a depression, like in the 20's. It would not be a wise move at all. And it's uncalled for, we don't need a draft at this point

probably hurt it, in short. there would likely me more ppl trying to get jobs over seas as well as get work 'off the books' aka 'under the table'. also, though many would support that, likely more would oppose it and that would lilely lead to less financial support in general from the public
